derek listens to things.

Random fact from when I wore a younger man’s clothes (still related to this album, of course.) I remember this as being the second-to-last “new” record my dad ever bought at the Quonset Hut on Cleveland Ave. in Canton (still in existence, but they stopped selling music entirely and closed all of the small local chain’s other locations in 2004.) That was in 1987. I was 6 years old. I already loved Zappa. I really did not know what to make of this weird “computer music” (as we called it) on this album. But I loved it! And have had a real fondness for it ever since (especially it’s more structured tunes, of course, but I love the more abstract sounding stuff, as well.)
